• I have 4 toshiba laptops - this was to be #5.
I have never been disappointed in one of them
until this.......
I received this yesterday and am returning it
today.
The touchpad is so rough it is impossible to use
for any length of time. You fingers feels rubbed
raw.
And after only a few minutes the entire palm
rest and touchpad area are so hot you can't
touch or use them.
The keyboard is high glossy black which is
difficult to see and even harder to keep your
fingers (w or w/o nails) from slipping off the
keys every single stroke. And very uncomfortable to look at for very long due to the glare (even moving it around in my home).
The lighted keyboard did light but put even more
glare on the high gloss surface, to the point it gave me a headache after only an hour. It might be serviceable using it at night. But if you turn it off the mouse stops.
The machine overall felt like thin, flimsy plastic,
very fragile, and every time it was moved a
Warning came on the monitor "the disk has been shaken" (or something to that effect) as if moving it would break it. (Then why is is portable?)
As for the mechanics, I was online about
15 minutes, and the speed was as slow as my
10 year old toshiba.
It was only pretty to look at, and overall, I was stunned at the cheapness, lack of comfort of use and lack of performance.
